Description

Discover how to make irresistible Viral Crispy Garlic Parmesan Crusted Potatoes with this easy recipe. Perfect for a delicious side dish or snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound (454g) Mini Yukon Gold Potatoes, halved
  • 2 Tablespoons (30ml) Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Dried Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon (2.5ml) Sea Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon (2.5ml) Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup (60ml) Vegetable Oil, melted
  • 1 1/2 Cups (180g) Cheddar Cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Begin the process by setting your oven to a temperature of 425°F to heat up.
  2. Proceed by cleaning the mini Yukon Gold potatoes thoroughly and slicing them into halves.
  3. Using a knife, create diagonal cuts on the exposed side of each potato half.
  4. Place the halved potatoes into a spacious bowl and incorporate olive oil, dried parsley, garlic powder, sea salt, and ground black pepper. Stir until the potatoes are well-covered in the oil and spices.
  5. Next, shred the cheddar cheese into a separate bowl and drizzle the melted vegetable oil over it. Combine them thoroughly to form a dense mixture.
  6. Spread this mixture evenly across the base of a large baking dish using a spoon or spatula.
  7. Arrange the potatoes in the baking dish with the cut sides facing down, pressing them gently into the cheese blend. Continue this until all potatoes are in the dish.
  8. Bake the potatoes for a duration of 25 to 26 minutes.
  9. After baking, take them out of the oven and let them sit for 10 minutes, allowing the cheese to solidify.
  10. Finally, use a spatula to lift the potatoes from the dish, serve them, and savor the taste!

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the flavor by adding a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne pepper to the potato mixture before baking.
  • Ensure an even distribution of the cheese mixture in the baking dish for a cheesy crust on each potato.
  • For crispy potato skins, bake for an extra 5-10 minutes until golden brown, or top with fresh herbs like chives or green onions for a colorful finish.
