Description

Learn how to make delicious Vegan Herb Air Fryer Carrots that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect for a healthy and flavorful side dish!

Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) big carrots
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) minced garlic
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Set the air fryer to 390°F to preheat.
  2. Remove the tops from the carrots, peel them, and if they are particularly large, slice them lengthwise; otherwise, leave them whole.
  3. Combine the vegetable oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme in a bowl, stirring to mix well.
  4. Pour the blended oil mixture over the carrots and stir until they are evenly coated.
  5. Place the carrots in the air fryer and cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking them halfway through. If the carrots are larger, extend the cooking time, or adjust based on your texture preference.
  6. The carrots are ready when a fork easily pierces their thickest section.
  7. Enjoy them plain or with sides like fresh parsley, feta, or hummus.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing cumin or paprika into the oil before coating the carrots.
  • Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the carrots before air frying for a touch of sweetness.
  • Experiment with different herbs like rosemary or oregano to vary the taste of the dish.
