Description
Learn how to make delicious Vegan Herb Air Fryer Carrots that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect for a healthy and flavorful side dish!
Ingredients
- – 1 pound (454 g) big carrots
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
- – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) minced garlic
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) dried thyme
Instructions
- Set the air fryer to 390°F to preheat.
- Remove the tops from the carrots, peel them, and if they are particularly large, slice them lengthwise; otherwise, leave them whole.
- Combine the vegetable oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme in a bowl, stirring to mix well.
- Pour the blended oil mixture over the carrots and stir until they are evenly coated.
- Place the carrots in the air fryer and cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking them halfway through. If the carrots are larger, extend the cooking time, or adjust based on your texture preference.
- The carrots are ready when a fork easily pierces their thickest section.
- Enjoy them plain or with sides like fresh parsley, feta, or hummus.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing cumin or paprika into the oil before coating the carrots.
- Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the carrots before air frying for a touch of sweetness.
- Experiment with different herbs like rosemary or oregano to vary the taste of the dish.
