Description

Crispy tuna melt patties combining rich flavors and textures, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Swiss)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add the shredded cheese and chopped green onions to the mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into 4-5 patties, compacting them enough to hold together.
  4. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Once melted, add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like parsley or dill to the mixture.
