Description

A creamy, cheesy mac and cheese recipe topped with crunchy breadcrumbs, perfect for family gatherings and comfort food cravings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a simmer.
  4. Gradually add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses while stirring continually until melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
  7. Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish.
  8. If desired, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top for a crunchy topping.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a smoother melt, use freshly shredded cheese. You can also add cooked bacon bits or sautéed vegetables for variations.
