- 4 fillets of tilapia
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Zest and juice of one lemon
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Begin by seasoning the tilapia fillets evenly with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the tilapia fillets to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked fillets to a plate and reduce the heat to medium.
- Melt the butter in the same skillet, then add the chopped shallot.
- Sauté for 2–3 minutes until translucent, then stir in the minced garlic.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
- Whisk in the lemon zest and juice, allowing the sauce to simmer for 2–3 minutes until it slightly thickens.
- Return the cooked tilapia to the skillet, spooning the luscious sauce over each fillet.
- Warm the fish for 1–2 minutes and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
