Ingredients
- – 3 medium chicken breasts, skinless and boneless (680g)
- – 1 teaspoon paprika (5g)
- – ½ teaspoon garlic powder (2.5g)
- – 1 teaspoon salt (5g)
- – ½ teaspoon black pepper (2.5g)
- – 1/3 cup BBQ sauce, I love Stubb’s sugar-free (80ml)
- – Vegetable oil or olive oil cooking spray
Instructions
- Set your air fryer to 360°F and mist the basket with a vegetable oil or olive oil spray.
- In a small dish, blend the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to form a spice blend.
- Dry the chicken breasts using a paper towel, then rub them evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 10 minutes, then use tongs to turn them over and continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Take the chicken out of the air fryer and cover them liberally with BBQ sauce.
- Place them back into the air fryer and heat for another 2-3 minutes, until the chicken’s internal temperature hits 165°F (using a meat thermometer can be helpful).
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Thoroughly pat dry chicken before seasoning for a crispier exterior.
- Use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking and ensure doneness.
- Enhance the dish’s flavor by opting for a high-quality BBQ sauce and consider marinating the chicken in it before cooking.
