- Spray oil
- Salt and pepper
- Smoked paprika
- Garlic salt or garlic powder
- 80ml BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Coat the chicken breasts with spray oil.
- Dust with smoked paprika, garlic salt, and generously season with salt and pepper. Alternatively, you can combine these seasonings first and then sprinkle them on.
- Flip the chicken and repeat the seasoning process.
- Place the chicken pieces into the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 180°C (approximately 360°F) and cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken breasts over.
- Continue cooking in the air fryer at 180°C (approximately 360°F) for an additional 8 minutes.
- Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the chicken; using a silicone pastry brush helps to spread it evenly, but a spoon or any available utensil will work.
- Air fry for another 2 minutes at 180°C (approximately 360°F).
- Ensure the chicken’s internal temperature reaches at least 74°C (165°F) in its thickest part, then take it out.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving, or serve the whole chicken breast as part of your meal.
Notes
- For a more intense garlic flavor, opt for garlic powder instead of garlic salt.
- Ensure the chicken breasts are thoroughly coated with BBQ sauce for a tasty glaze.
- Use a meat thermometer to guarantee the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for complete cooking.
