Quick and flavorful teriyaki shrimp rice bowls featuring jumbo shrimp, jasmine rice, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Kosher salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Blackstone Sweet Teriyaki seasoning blend (optional)
- Cooking oil of choice
- 2 (8-ounce) microwave pouches jasmine rice
- 1 large avocado (sliced)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 lime wedges
- Sauce of choice (yum yum sauce, sriracha, spicy mayo, or more teriyaki sauce)
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry and place them in a bowl.
- Add the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, kosher salt, and pepper. If desired, include the optional Blackstone Sweet Teriyaki seasoning blend.
- Toss the shrimp until everything is well combined. Allow it to marinate for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Preheat your skillet or Blackstone griddle over medium heat.
- Add cooking oil of your choice to the hot pan.
- Introduce the marinated shrimp to the cooking space, sautéing for 3 to 5 minutes and turning them occasionally.
- While the shrimp cooks, prepare jasmine rice in the microwave according to package directions.
- After everything is ready, fill bowls with the cooked jasmine rice, then add the teriyaki shrimp.
- Top with sliced avocado, sprinkle with chopped cilantro, and squeeze fresh lime juice over the top.
- Drizzle your chosen sauce on top for an extra kick.
Notes
Fresh lime juice and quality ingredients enhance the flavors. For a vegetarian option, substitute shrimp with firm tofu.
