Description

A quick and satisfying tuna sandwich that’s perfect for busy lifestyles, blending fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors.


Ingredients

  • 270 grams canned tuna (drained)
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (paste)
  • ¼ cup cucumber (finely diced)
  • 2 tablespoons onion (finely diced)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons coriander (finely chopped)
  • 2 slices bread (for each sandwich)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened) for each bread slice


Instructions

  1. Drain the canned tuna thoroughly using a fine mesh strainer to remove excess liquid.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, diced cucumber, and onion. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. Fold in freshly chopped coriander.
  4. For each sandwich, spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  5. Spread a generous amount of the tuna mixture on one slice of buttered bread and top with the other slice, buttered side down.
  6. Cut the sandwich diagonally for an appealing presentation.
  7. Serve with crispy fries or your choice of sides and enjoy!

Notes

Consider adding finely chopped jalapeños for a spicy kick. Store the tuna mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
