A quick and satisfying tuna sandwich that’s perfect for busy lifestyles, blending fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors.
Ingredients
- 270 grams canned tuna (drained)
- 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard (paste)
- ¼ cup cucumber (finely diced)
- 2 tablespoons onion (finely diced)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (crushed)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons coriander (finely chopped)
- 2 slices bread (for each sandwich)
- 1 tablespoon butter (softened) for each bread slice
Instructions
- Drain the canned tuna thoroughly using a fine mesh strainer to remove excess liquid.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, diced cucumber, and onion. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Fold in freshly chopped coriander.
- For each sandwich, spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Spread a generous amount of the tuna mixture on one slice of buttered bread and top with the other slice, buttered side down.
- Cut the sandwich diagonally for an appealing presentation.
- Serve with crispy fries or your choice of sides and enjoy!
Notes
Consider adding finely chopped jalapeños for a spicy kick. Store the tuna mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
