Description

A flavorful halibut dish with a bright lemon caper sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and special dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 halibut fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and capers.
  6. Place the halibut fillets in the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes or until the fish is flaky.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure the halibut fillets are of even size for uniform cooking. Taste the sauce before serving to adjust acidity.
