Description

Discover how to make delicious Sweet Chili Glazed Air Fryer Salmon with this easy recipe. Perfectly cooked salmon with a sweet and spicy glaze awaits!

Ingredients

  • – 4-6 oz (113-170 g) salmon fillets, skin on
  • – 1/2 cup (120 ml) sweet chili sauce
  • – sea salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Dry the salmon fillets with a paper towel. Transfer the sweet chili sauce into a shallow container that can accommodate all the fillets. Submerge the salmon in the sauce with the skin facing upward. Cover the container and refrigerate for no less than 10-15 minutes to let it soak.
  2. Set the air fryer to 400°F. Lightly coat the basket with a mild vegetable oil. Position the marinated salmon fillets with the skin side down in the air fryer basket. Keep the marinade dish aside for now. Cook for 9-10 minutes, pausing midway to spoon a bit more sweet chili sauce onto the fillets.
  3. Heat the oven broiler to its highest setting. Arrange the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, skin side down. Place it in the center of the oven, broiling until the top is slightly browned and the fish is medium cooked, about 4-6 minutes. Keep a close watch to prevent burning. Use the foil to wrap the fish until serving.
  4. Take the salmon from the air fryer or broiler and pair it with rice and toasted sesame seeds if you wish. Optionally, add a final drizzle of sweet chili sauce.

Notes

  • Patting the salmon fillets dry before marinating ensures better sauce adherence.
  • Spoon extra sweet chili sauce on the fillets halfway through cooking to boost flavor.
  • Watch the salmon closely under the broiler to avoid burning and cook to your preferred doneness level.
