Ingredients
- Fresh salmon fillets
- Cream cheese, softened
- Fresh herbs (dill, parsley, or chives)
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic, minced
- Breadcrumbs (optional)
- Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, minced garlic, fresh herbs, and Dijon mustard. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper according to taste.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a cutting board. Use a sharp knife to carefully cut a pocket into the side of each fillet, being cautious not to cut through.
- Stuff the salmon pockets with the cream cheese mixture. Use a spatula or your fingers to ensure it stays packed into the fillet.
- Place the stuffed salmon in a baking dish. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with breadcrumbs for an optional crunchy topping.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Notes
Consider marinating the salmon in lemon juice before stuffing for added flavor. Experiment with different herbs for variety.
