Description

Learn how to make delicious Sticky Salmon Bites in the Air Fryer with this easy recipe. Perfectly crispy and flavorful, a must-try for seafood lovers!

Ingredients

  • – 1 lb Salmon Filet (454 g)
  • – 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil (15 ml)
  • – 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce (15 ml)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon ground Pepper (2.5 ml)
  • – 2 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce (store bought) (30 ml)
  • – 1/2 Tablespoon Honey (7.5 ml)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder (2.5 ml)
  • – sesame seeds as garnish (optional)
  • – 3 Tablespoons (45 ml) chopped green onion as garnish (optional)
  • – 1/2 cup homemade Honey Teriyaki Sauce (120 ml)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (2.5 ml)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)

Instructions

  1. Use a sharp, flexible knife to carefully detach the skin from the salmon filet. Cut the salmon into cubes roughly one inch in size and set them aside.
  2. If you’re using store-bought Teriyaki Sauce, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, ground pepper, honey, and garlic powder with the teriyaki sauce in a small bowl. If opting for homemade Honey Teriyaki Sauce, blend half a cup of it with the olive oil and half a teaspoon of black pepper. TIP: Consider doubling the sauce to use as a dip or to drizzle over the salmon.
  3. With a brush, thoroughly coat the salmon pieces with the teriyaki mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and place the salmon pieces in the basket, making sure they do not touch each other.
  5. Air fry for 5 to 7 minutes until you achieve your desired level of doneness, flipping the salmon pieces halfway through cooking.
  6. For those who prefer their salmon rare, the internal temperature should be between 110°F and 115°F (not recommended). Medium rare will range from 115°F to 120°F, while anything above 145°F might result in the salmon being dry. Most people find the ideal internal temperature for cooked salmon to be between 120°F and 125°F, or Medium.
  7. Serve hot, optionally decorated with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Marinate salmon in teriyaki mixture for 30 minutes before air frying for a richer flavor.
  • Adjust honey in teriyaki sauce to taste for desired sweetness.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh burst of flavor.
