Spicy Voodoo Shrimp features bold Cajun flavors with succulent shrimp, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
- Toss in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Adjust the cayenne pepper according to your heat preference. This dish can also be served over rice or pasta.
