Description

Discover how to make delicious Spicy Sriracha Air Fryer Salmon with this easy recipe. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and ready in no time!

Ingredients

  • – 450g (1 lb) salmon fillets, pins removed
  • – 15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
  • – 80 ml (1/3 cup) honey
  • – 60 ml (1/4 cup) sriracha
  • – 15 ml (1 tbsp) lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • – 30 ml (2 tbsp) soy sauce
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) minced garlic cloves
  • – 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) salt, or to taste
  • – 1.25 ml (1/4 tsp) black pepper, or to taste
  • – sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, or sliced green onions, optional, to serve

Instructions

  1. Combine the olive oil, honey, sriracha, soy sauce, lime juice, and minced garlic in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Position the salmon in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish, then drench it with the prepared sauce.
  3. Let the salmon soak in the marinade for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour, ensuring to turn it occasionally to coat evenly.
  4. Set the air fryer to preheat at 330°F (165°C) for 3 minutes, and apply cooking spray to the basket if a liner isn’t being used.
  5. Take the salmon out of the marinade (keep the marinade aside) and lay it in the air fryer basket with the skin facing down. Ensure individual pieces are not touching and have some space around them.
  6. Sprinkle the salmon with salt and pepper as desired, and cook for 6 minutes, checking for doneness. It should be opaque and flake easily when ready. Depending on the thickness and the air fryer model, cooking might take between 6 to 10 minutes.
  7. While the salmon cooks, pour the leftover marinade into a small pot and heat on medium until it thickens, approximately 2 minutes. Drizzle the thickened sauce over the cooked salmon and garnish with sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, or sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate the salmon for at least 15 minutes, up to an hour, for a more intense flavor infusion.
  • Check the salmon for doneness after 6 minutes in the air fryer, adjusting as needed based on thickness.
  • Use any leftover marinade as a tasty sauce to drizzle over the cooked salmon for added flavor.
