Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Corn or flour tortillas
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 lime, juiced
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
- Diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce (optional toppings)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque.
- In a food processor, add the ripe avocado, lime juice, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Lightly heat the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until warm and pliable.
- Take a warm tortilla and add a generous amount of shrimp on the bottom.
- Top the shrimp with a dollop of avocado crema.
- Finish with fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce if desired. Serve immediately!
