Delight in layers of flavor and texture with these Spicy Shrimp Sushi Stacks, featuring shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and a spicy mayo drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • Soy sauce, for serving
  • Nori sheets, cut into strips (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sriracha together to make a spicy mayo.
  3. In a round mold or using a glass, layer the ingredients starting with a layer of sushi rice, then add a layer of shrimp, followed by avocado and cucumber slices.
  4. Repeat the layering until you reach the top of the mold.
  5. Carefully remove the mold to reveal your stacks.
  6. Drizzle with spicy mayo and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  7. Serve immediately with soy sauce on the side.

Notes

Experiment with different vegetables or sushi-grade fish for variety. Adjust the spicy mayo according to personal heat preference.
