Description

A quick and satisfying dish featuring shrimp sautéed in a rich spicy garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 200g large or jumbo shrimp
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp cold butter
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red chili flakes, ensuring even coating.
  4. Place the shrimp in the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until bright pink and curled.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, add cold butter and lemon juice, and stir gently until the butter melts and coats the shrimp.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley or cilantro over the shrimp.
  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the amount of red chili flakes or paprika.
