Description
A flavorful dish combining crispy roasted cauliflower florets with a sweet and spicy garlic-honey sauce. Perfect as a side or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 0.5 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and chopped chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Wash and dry the cauliflower thoroughly, then cut it into small, evenly-sized florets.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss cauliflower florets with vegetable oil, salt, pepper, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Spread cauliflower in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Roast in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While the cauliflower roasts, prepare the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, chili flakes, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until thickened.
- Remove cauliflower from the oven and drizzle the hot sauce over the florets, tossing to coat.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped chives if desired.
Notes
Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing chili flakes according to your taste preference. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
