Description
A flavorful seafood boil featuring shrimp, crab legs, mussels or clams, potatoes, and corn, all seasoned with zesty Cajun spices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, deveined
- 1 lb crab legs
- 1 lb mussels or clams
- 1 lb potatoes, quartered
- 1 corn on the cob, cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 lemons, halved
- Salt, to taste
- Water
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt and Cajun seasoning.
- Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add corn and continue to boil for another 5 minutes.
- Add crab legs and mussels (or clams) and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Finally, add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain the water and return seafood and vegetables to the pot.
- Add butter and squeeze lemon juice over the feast.
- Mix gently and serve hot with extra lemon on the side.
Notes
Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on personal spice preference. Freshness of seafood greatly impacts the final flavor.
