Description

A creamy and flavorful smoked oyster dip that is perfect for gatherings, game nights, or family treats.


Ingredients

  • 3.75 oz. canned smoked oysters, drained
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • Zest of 1 medium lemon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons capers (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the capers: the smoked oysters, cream cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, dill, smoked paprika, and any optional spices like chipotle, cayenne, and salt.
  2. Use the back of a spoon to smash and stir the oysters into the cream cheese until everything is smoothly combined.
  3. Gently stir in the capers until they are evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving dish and chill it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
