Description

Discover the perfect crispy snack with our recipe for sliced potatoes in the air fryer. Learn how to achieve golden perfection with this easy and delicious dish!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb (907 g) s Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into ¼ inch thick slices using a mandolin or sharp knife.
  2. Place the potato slices in a medium-sized bowl, cover them with cold water, and let them soak for 15-30 minutes. Afterward, drain and pat the slices dry with paper towels to enhance their crispiness.
  3. Return the dried potato slices to the bowl, then drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the slices are well coated.
  4. Arrange half of the potato slices at the base of a 7-quart or larger air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry the slices at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes, making sure to shake the basket every 5 minutes. After 12 minutes, check if they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, while tender inside.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the potato slices to a serving plate or baking sheet. Enjoy immediately or keep them warm. Repeat the process with the remaining potato slices.
  7. Serve right away with dill aioli or your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Soak potato slices in cold water to remove excess starch for a crispier texture. Pat dry before coating with olive oil and seasonings. Shake air fryer basket every 5 minutes for even cooking and crispiness. Serve immediately for best crispiness.
