Delightful shrimp wontons filled with shrimp and shiitake mushrooms, providing a comforting crunch and savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 package gluten-free wonton wrappers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wonton sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pulse until finely chopped but not pureed.
- Lay one wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, and seal tightly. Repeat with remaining filling.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook wontons in batches for 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface.
- Serve hot with wonton sauce.
Notes
Ensure wontons are sealed tightly to prevent filling from leaking. Keep a bowl of water nearby for sealing the wrappers.
