Description

A comforting shrimp linguine dish, combining tender shrimp with zesty lemon and aromatic garlic that brings warmth and joy to every family gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • Zest from 1/2 of a large lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced in half-rounds
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. In an extra-large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-low heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they turn pink.
  6. Remove from heat and add the chopped parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon rounds, and crushed red pepper flakes. Toss to combine.
  7. Drain the linguine and add it to the skillet; toss to combine with the shrimp mixture.
  8. Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese and toss again to coat evenly.

Notes

For a twist, consider adding seasonal vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes. Always adjust the seasoning to taste.
