Description

A rich and creamy shrimp and crab Alfredo that elevates everyday pasta with seafood flavors, perfect for dinner parties or weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup grated Romano cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring water to a boil and add fettuccine or pasta choice, following package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
  2. Cook the Seafood: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add Crab Meat: In the same skillet, sauté crab meat for 1-2 minutes to warm it and then remove.
  4. Make the Alfredo Sauce: Melt butter in the skillet, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently, stirring in Parmesan and Romano cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Adjust Consistency: If too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency.
  7. Combine Pasta, Seafood, and Sauce: Toss cooked pasta with the sauce and gently stir in shrimp and crab, cooking together for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Serve and Garnish: Plate the dish, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For variations, consider adding sautéed vegetables or using different types of seafood. Ensure to use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
