A vibrant, zesty shrimp ceviche served with homemade Tajin chips, perfect for gatherings and summer celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Homemade Tajin chips
Instructions
- Cut the shrimp into small, even pieces and place them in a sizable bowl.
- Pour the lime juice over the shrimp and stir gently to coat.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to marinate.
- After 30 minutes, check the shrimp; they should be opaque.
- Add the red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeño to the bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix everything gently until well combined.
- Serve immediately with homemade Tajin chips on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider garnishing with additional cilantro or lime wedges. Experiment with varying jalapeño for different spice levels.
