Description

A flavorful sesame ginger Asian tuna steak featuring a vibrant marinade made with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and honey, perfect for a gourmet weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame seeds to create a marinade.
  2. Place the tuna steaks in the marinade and let them sit for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill the tuna steaks for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until seared but still rare in the center.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Using a meat thermometer can help ensure the tuna reaches the perfect internal temperature of 115-120°F for a rare finish.
