Description

A quick and delicious seared tuna dish featuring a nutty sesame crust and zesty ginger glaze, perfect for healthy dining.

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh greens or cauliflower rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine sesame seeds and olive oil. Press both sides of the tuna steaks into the sesame mixture to coat.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the tuna steaks. Sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if desired.
  4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and grated ginger.
  5. Remove the tuna from the skillet and serve with the ginger-soy glaze over fresh greens or cauliflower rice.

Notes

Serve with fresh greens or cauliflower rice for a light meal. For a stronger ginger flavor, increase the amount in the glaze.
