Description

A quick and easy recipe for seared Ahi tuna marinated in soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 sushi-grade Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, sliced


Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and honey in a bowl.
  2. Coat the tuna steaks with the marinade and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over high heat.
  4. Sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or longer for your desired doneness.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top. Pair with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
