A quick and easy recipe for seared Ahi tuna marinated in soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 sushi-grade Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 green onion, sliced
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and honey in a bowl.
- Coat the tuna steaks with the marinade and let them sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over high heat.
- Sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or longer for your desired doneness.
Notes
Serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top. Pair with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
