Description

A quick and flavorful seafood pasta dish combining shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 10 oz. (350g) spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz. (125g) shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 8 oz. (230g) Manila clams
  • 4 oz. (125g) scallops
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. (228g) whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Italian basil leaves
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (or brown sugar)
  • Chopped Italian parsley, for garnishing


Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Blend the can of whole peeled tomatoes until smooth and set aside.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  5. Pour in the prepared tomato sauce and add chopped basil leaves.
  6. Cook the seafood mixture until almost done, then season with salt and sugar.
  7. Stir in the cooked spaghetti, mixing everything to ensure the pasta absorbs the flavors.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
