A quick and flavorful seafood pasta dish combining shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 10 oz. (350g) spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 oz. (125g) shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 8 oz. (230g) Manila clams
- 4 oz. (125g) scallops
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. (228g) whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chopped Italian basil leaves
- Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar (or brown sugar)
- Chopped Italian parsley, for garnishing
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Blend the can of whole peeled tomatoes until smooth and set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Pour in the prepared tomato sauce and add chopped basil leaves.
- Cook the seafood mixture until almost done, then season with salt and sugar.
- Stir in the cooked spaghetti, mixing everything to ensure the pasta absorbs the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
