Description

A rich and creamy seafood bisque featuring crab, shrimp, and lobster that brings warmth and comfort to any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound crab meat
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onions and minced garlic, sautéing until the onions become translucent.
  3. Stir in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
  4. Gradually whisk in the seafood stock, ensuring no lumps form in the mixture.
  5. Once smooth, add the crab meat, shrimp, and lobster to the pot.
  6. Bring everything to a gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes, allowing the seafood to infuse its flavors into the broth.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Allow the bisque to simmer for an additional 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a colorful touch.

Notes

Use fresh seafood for the best flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste throughout cooking.
