Description

A flavorful spinach and feta quiche that is simple to make and perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 rouleau de pâte feuilletée ou à tarte
  • 300 g fresh spinach (or 200 g frozen)
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 200 ml cream or milk
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  2. Roll out the pastry in a quiche mold and poke it with a fork.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until translucent.
  4. Add the spinach and let it wilt, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with cream or milk, adding seasonings and nutmeg if desired.
  6. Crumble the feta cheese into the spinach and onion mixture.
  7. Spread the mixture over the pastry, then pour the egg and cream mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and the filling sets firmly.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using herbs like dill or parsley as a garnish before serving.
