A flavorful spinach and feta quiche that is simple to make and perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 rouleau de pâte feuilletée ou à tarte
- 300 g fresh spinach (or 200 g frozen)
- 200 g feta cheese
- 3 large eggs
- 200 ml cream or milk
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Roll out the pastry in a quiche mold and poke it with a fork.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet and add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until translucent.
- Add the spinach and let it wilt, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with cream or milk, adding seasonings and nutmeg if desired.
- Crumble the feta cheese into the spinach and onion mixture.
- Spread the mixture over the pastry, then pour the egg and cream mixture on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and the filling sets firmly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using herbs like dill or parsley as a garnish before serving.
