Description

A delicious and nutritious baked halibut with a creamy garlic parmesan topping, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 dash Tabasco, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 halibut fillets, approximately 1 inch thick


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and prepare a baking dish by greasing it with butter or olive oil.
  2. Rinse halibut fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Combine softened butter and mayonnaise in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Incorporate parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic, lemon juice, and a dash of Tabasco into the mixture.
  5. Place halibut fillets in the baking dish and spread the creamy mixture generously over each fillet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the halibut flakes easily with a fork and has a golden top.
  7. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for a minute or two at the end of baking. Be careful to monitor closely.
