Description
A delicious and nutritious baked halibut with a creamy garlic parmesan topping, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp softened butter
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 dash Tabasco, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 halibut fillets, approximately 1 inch thick
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and prepare a baking dish by greasing it with butter or olive oil.
- Rinse halibut fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Combine softened butter and mayonnaise in a bowl until smooth.
- Incorporate parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic, lemon juice, and a dash of Tabasco into the mixture.
- Place halibut fillets in the baking dish and spread the creamy mixture generously over each fillet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the halibut flakes easily with a fork and has a golden top.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for a minute or two at the end of baking. Be careful to monitor closely.
