Ingredients
- ½ cup sour cream (or mayonnaise)
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup packed fresh cilantro (optional)
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic (or garlic paste)
- 1-2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- Juice of 1 lime
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Assemble all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
- Add the sour cream and Greek yogurt to form the base.
- Include the minced garlic, chipotle peppers, lime juice, and any optional spices.
- Use an immersion blender, food processor, or standard blender to puree until smooth.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning and heat to preference.
- Transfer the sauce to a covered container and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
