Description

A creamy, smoky, and tangy sauce to elevate your fish tacos with vibrant flavors.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream (or mayonnaise)
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup packed fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic (or garlic paste)
  • 1-2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Assemble all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Add the sour cream and Greek yogurt to form the base.
  3. Include the minced garlic, chipotle peppers, lime juice, and any optional spices.
  4. Use an immersion blender, food processor, or standard blender to puree until smooth.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning and heat to preference.
  6. Transfer the sauce to a covered container and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
