Description

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole version of sushi that combines fresh salmon, imitation crab, and creamy ingredients for a delightful family meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 lb fresh salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 1 cup imitation crab, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup spicy mayo
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 sheet nori (seaweed), cut into strips
  • Soy sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine it with water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 18-20 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the cooked salmon, imitation crab, cream cheese, and spicy mayo until well combined.
  4. Spread the cooked rice evenly in a baking dish.
  5. Layer the salmon mixture over the rice.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with nori strips and soy sauce.

Notes

For added freshness, consider incorporating avocado or cucumber into the filling. Adjust the spiciness of the mayo to your taste.
