Description

A delightful dish combining crispy salmon fillets and creamy orzo rice, enriched with fresh herbs and lemon.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or dill)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil or butter to the hot skillet.
  2. Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the salmon skin-side down in the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving to achieve crispy skin.
  4. Flip the salmon carefully and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let them rest.
  5. In another pot, bring chicken broth or water to a boil. Add the orzo and cook per package instructions until al dente.
  6. Drain the orzo and toss it with a bit of olive oil or butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. To serve, place the orzo on a plate, top with salmon, and garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.

Notes

Allow salmon to rest after cooking for best texture. Fresh herbs and lemon wedges enhance flavor.
