Description
A delightful dish combining crispy salmon fillets and creamy orzo rice, enriched with fresh herbs and lemon.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth or water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or dill)
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil or butter to the hot skillet.
- Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the salmon skin-side down in the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving to achieve crispy skin.
- Flip the salmon carefully and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let them rest.
- In another pot, bring chicken broth or water to a boil. Add the orzo and cook per package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the orzo and toss it with a bit of olive oil or butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To serve, place the orzo on a plate, top with salmon, and garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
Notes
Allow salmon to rest after cooking for best texture. Fresh herbs and lemon wedges enhance flavor.
