A delicious and simple salmon dish enhanced with garlic, butter, and fresh lemon.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (180-200 grams each), skin on or off
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika (optional)
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- Zest from 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, black pepper, and optional sweet paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin side down.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 190°C for 10-12 minutes until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add chopped garlic, and sauté for a couple of minutes.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest, simmering for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove salmon from oven, spoon garlic lemon butter sauce over each fillet, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.
Notes
To elevate the dish, consider marinating the salmon for 30 minutes or substituting butter with olive oil for a lighter touch.
