Description

A delicious and simple salmon dish enhanced with garlic, butter, and fresh lemon.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (180-200 grams each), skin on or off
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, black pepper, and optional sweet paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin side down.
  3. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 190°C for 10-12 minutes until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
  5. Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add chopped garlic, and sauté for a couple of minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and zest, simmering for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove salmon from oven, spoon garlic lemon butter sauce over each fillet, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.

Notes

To elevate the dish, consider marinating the salmon for 30 minutes or substituting butter with olive oil for a lighter touch.
