Description
These roasted cauliflower bites are crispy, flavorful, and a lighter alternative to fried snacks. Perfect for appetizers or side dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 petite cauliflower (approximately 500g)
- 100g grated parmesan
- 80g flour
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- A handful of fresh parsley, chopped
- A pinch of sweet paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Blanch the cauliflower in a pot of salted boiling water for about five minutes. After blanching, drain the cauliflower thoroughly.
- Place the drained cauliflower in a large bowl and lightly mash it.
- Add the beaten egg, grated parmesan, flour, crushed garlic, and chopped parsley into the bowl.
- Incorporate the sweet paprika, salt, and pepper into the mixture.
- Form small balls, about 25g each, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush each ball generously with olive oil.
- Roast the cauliflower bites in the oven for 25-30 minutes until they’re golden and crispy. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating spices or herbs into the mixture. Serve hot and consider pairing with a dipping sauce.
