Description

Discover how to make delicious Roasted Air Fryer Carrots that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect side dish for any meal!

Ingredients

  • 454 g carrots (about 4 cups) washed, peeled, and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 30 ml brown sugar
  • 25 ml salt
  • 454 g medium-sized carrots (about 4 cups) washed and peeled
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 5 ml garlic powder
  • 5 ml paprika
  • 60 g grated cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley optional

Instructions

  1. Mix vegetable oil, brown sugar, and salt with the chopped carrots until they are thoroughly coated.
  2. Transfer the carrots into a dish that can safely go into the air fryer. Set the temperature to 380°F and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, making sure to stir them at the halfway mark.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the peeled carrots with olive oil, garlic powder, and paprika, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Place the seasoned carrots into the air fryer basket and set it to 380°F for a 20-minute cooking session, giving them a good shake halfway through. Once cooked, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and optionally garnish with chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, try honey or maple syrup instead of brown sugar on the carrots.
  • Experiment with parmesan or feta cheese for a unique flavor twist.
  • Add some red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper for a bit of spiciness before cooking.
