Ingredients
- 454 g carrots (about 4 cups) washed, peeled, and chopped into 1-inch pieces
- 30 ml vegetable oil
- 30 ml brown sugar
- 25 ml salt
- 454 g medium-sized carrots (about 4 cups) washed and peeled
- 30 ml olive oil
- 5 ml garlic powder
- 5 ml paprika
- 60 g grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley optional
Instructions
- Mix vegetable oil, brown sugar, and salt with the chopped carrots until they are thoroughly coated.
- Transfer the carrots into a dish that can safely go into the air fryer. Set the temperature to 380°F and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, making sure to stir them at the halfway mark.
- In a separate bowl, combine the peeled carrots with olive oil, garlic powder, and paprika, ensuring even coverage.
- Place the seasoned carrots into the air fryer basket and set it to 380°F for a 20-minute cooking session, giving them a good shake halfway through. Once cooked, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and optionally garnish with chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
Notes
- For a sweeter taste, try honey or maple syrup instead of brown sugar on the carrots.
- Experiment with parmesan or feta cheese for a unique flavor twist.
- Add some red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper for a bit of spiciness before cooking.
