Delicious crab stuffed mushrooms filled with a creamy, cheesy mixture that captures the essence of the ocean in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh white mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces crab meat (lump or claw), picked over for shells
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Extra Parmesan or breadcrumbs for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Pat dry.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Mix crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, parsley, lemon juice, and sautéed garlic in a bowl. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon the mixture into each mushroom cap and arrange in a greased baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over the tops.
- Sprinkle extra Parmesan or breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Opt for quality crab meat for the best flavor and presentation. Experiment with different breadcrumbs for added texture.
