Description

Delicious crab stuffed mushrooms filled with a creamy, cheesy mixture that captures the essence of the ocean in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh white mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces crab meat (lump or claw), picked over for shells
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Extra Parmesan or breadcrumbs for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Pat dry.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Mix crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, parsley, lemon juice, and sautéed garlic in a bowl. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon the mixture into each mushroom cap and arrange in a greased baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over the tops.
  5. Sprinkle extra Parmesan or breadcrumbs on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

Opt for quality crab meat for the best flavor and presentation. Experiment with different breadcrumbs for added texture.
