Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced into thin cutlets
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- 1/2 cup (25g) bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) dried chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
Instructions
- Place the sliced chicken cutlets in a bowl and pour olive oil over them, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
- In a separate shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs with all the spices until they are well mixed.
- Press each chicken cutlet into the spiced bread crumb mixture, then place them in your air fryer basket.
- Set your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and cook the chicken for 10-12 minutes, flipping the pieces after the first 7 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Sprinkle olive oil over the boneless, skinless chicken breasts and add your preferred spices.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket with the breast side facing down and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning them over at the halfway mark with tongs.
- Once the time is up, promptly take the chicken out of the air fryer to prevent it from drying out, and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Mix bread crumbs with grated Parmesan for extra crunch.
- Adjust seasoning to taste – more cayenne for heat, less salt for lower sodium.
- Avoid overcrowding air fryer basket for juicy chicken – cook in batches if needed.
