Ingredients
- 454g Beef, diced (1 lb)
- 454g Carrots, sliced (1 lb)
- 2 Tbsp (32g) Olive Oil, divided
- 1 Tbsp (12g) Sugar
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) Dried Oregano
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) Ground Thyme
Instructions
- Coat the carrots with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and place them in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 400ºF.
- While the carrots are cooking, combine all the dry spices in a small bowl.
- After the initial cooking period, return the carrots to the mixing bowl and add another tablespoon of olive oil, ensuring even coverage before sprinkling with the spice mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Return the coated carrots to the air fryer and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes at 400ºF until they become tender. If desired, shake and continue cooking in short bursts for extra caramelization.
Notes
- For a more robust flavor, swap water for beef broth when coating the carrots in olive oil.
- Try mixing rosemary and thyme for a unique herb blend to season the carrots.
- Drizzle honey over the carrots before serving for a touch of sweetness.
