Learn how to make the most delicious and perfectly seasoned roasted potatoes with this easy recipe. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – a must-try side dish!
Ingredients
- – 6 large Yukon Gold Potatoes (about 1.3 kg)
- – 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
- – 1 1/2 tsp (7.5 ml) paprika
- – 1 1/4 tsp (6.25 ml) garlic powder
- – 1 tsp (5 ml) onion powder
- – 1 tsp (5 ml) ground beef
- – 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) chili powder (adjust to taste)
- – 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) pepper
- – 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 450 degrees F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking, but monitor it closely due to the high temperature.
- Remove the skin from the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and put them in a big bowl. Put this aside.
- In a separate, smaller bowl, mix the olive oil with the spices thoroughly.
- Drizzle the oil and spice blend over the potatoes and mix until they are well coated.
- Arrange the coated potatoes evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Cook in the oven at 450 degrees F for 35-45 minutes, making sure to stir them every 10 minutes.
- When the potatoes are soft inside and crispy on the outside, they are ready. Add more salt if you like.
Notes
- Consider enhancing the flavor by incorporating fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme into the olive oil and spice mixture before drizzling over the potatoes.
- To achieve a crispier texture, ensure the potatoes are spread out in a single layer on the baking sheet for even cooking and browning.
- For a bolder spiciness, increase the chili powder in the spice blend or add a dash of cayenne pepper for heat.
