Description

Learn how to make the most delicious and perfectly seasoned roasted potatoes with this easy recipe. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – a must-try side dish!

Ingredients

  • – 6 large Yukon Gold Potatoes (about 1.3 kg)
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
  • – 1 1/2 tsp (7.5 ml) paprika
  • – 1 1/4 tsp (6.25 ml) garlic powder
  • – 1 tsp (5 ml) onion powder
  • – 1 tsp (5 ml) ground beef
  • – 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • – 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) pepper
  • – 1 tsp (5 ml) salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 450 degrees F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking, but monitor it closely due to the high temperature.
  2. Remove the skin from the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and put them in a big bowl. Put this aside.
  3. In a separate, smaller bowl, mix the olive oil with the spices thoroughly.
  4. Drizzle the oil and spice blend over the potatoes and mix until they are well coated.
  5. Arrange the coated potatoes evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Cook in the oven at 450 degrees F for 35-45 minutes, making sure to stir them every 10 minutes.
  7. When the potatoes are soft inside and crispy on the outside, they are ready. Add more salt if you like.

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the flavor by incorporating fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme into the olive oil and spice mixture before drizzling over the potatoes.
  • To achieve a crispier texture, ensure the potatoes are spread out in a single layer on the baking sheet for even cooking and browning.
  • For a bolder spiciness, increase the chili powder in the spice blend or add a dash of cayenne pepper for heat.
