A refreshing crab salad that captures the essence of summer with lump crab meat, fresh vegetables, and a creamy dressing.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lump crab meat (or imitation)
- 1 cup real mayonnaise
- ½ cup diced celery
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by draining any liquid from your crab meat. Chop the meat into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Dice your celery and red onions very finely.
- In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and lemon juice, then stir in the Old Bay seasoning.
- Fold the crab and diced vegetables into the dressing. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating a dash of hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce. Make ahead of time for the best flavor.
