Description
Discover how to make crispy Parmesan Crusted Air Fryer Potato Wedges with this easy recipe. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection every time!
Ingredients
- – 2 lbs (907 g) potatoes, about 5-6 small potatoes
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cooking oil, I used avocado oil
- – 1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
- – 1 teaspoon (5 g) onion powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 g) paprika
- – 2/3 cup (80 g) shredded cheese
- – Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Ensure the potatoes are thoroughly cleaned and dried. Slice them in half lengthwise, then halve each piece again along the same direction. Cut each section in half from the tip to form 8 wedges per potato.
- Set your air fryer to 400°F. If a preheat option is unavailable, switch it on and allow it to heat up for a couple of minutes.
- While waiting, place the potato wedges in a large bowl. Add the oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and season with 1½ teaspoons of salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper. Mix thoroughly until the wedges are well-coated. Fold in the shredded cheese and combine evenly.
- Arrange the potato wedges in a single layer inside the air fryer, ensuring there is space between them. You might need to cook them in multiple rounds. Air fry for 8-12 minutes until they achieve a golden brown color, shaking them 1-2 times to ensure even cooking. Move them to a wire rack to cool slightly and sprinkle with a bit of salt if necessary. Repeat the process if needed.
- Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For a healthier option, reduce the amount of shredded cheese or choose a lower-fat cheese alternative.
- Customize the seasonings to your liking, such as adding a touch of cayenne pepper for some spice.
- To achieve crispier potato wedges, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes before seasoning and air frying.
