Description

A delightful pan-seared salmon recipe that combines simplicity with incredible flavor, perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill), chopped

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with a generous amount of salt and pepper on both sides for a flavor boost.
  2. Heat olive oil in your skillet over medium-high heat; the oil should shimmer when ready.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes, allowing the skin to crisp up beautifully.
  4. Once the skin achieves the desired crispy texture, carefully flip the salmon fillets using a spatula. Add the butter and minced garlic into the pan at this time.
  5. Continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Finish the dish by drizzling fresh lemon juice and sprinkling chopped herbs right before serving.

Notes

Let salmon sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Pat the skin dry to enhance crispiness.
