Description

A luxurious classic dish featuring tender oysters topped with a rich, garlicky spinach mixture, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 12 oysters on the half shell
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped spinach and green onions, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place oysters on a baking sheet and spoon the spinach mixture over each oyster.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the topping is golden.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
