Description

A comforting and satisfying one pot dish combining shrimp and crab in a creamy Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Introduce the fettuccine or linguine to the pot, and pour in the 2 cups of chicken or seafood broth.
  4. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  5. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once the pasta reaches al dente, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream.
  7. Fold in the shrimp and lump crab meat.
  8. Continue cooking for about 3-5 minutes, until the shrimp turns pink and the crab heats through.
  9. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. Sprinkle 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  11. Stir gently until the cheese melts and incorporates into the creamy sauce.
  12. Remove from the heat, taste, and adjust seasoning if needed.

Notes

Always taste while cooking to adjust seasonings to your liking. For added richness, consider incorporating lemon zest or fresh herbs.
