Description
A flavorful and easy-to-prepare pasta dish featuring shrimp seasoned with Old Bay, garlic, and lemon, perfect for weeknight meals or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan (optional)
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant (1–2 minutes).
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, remaining ½ tablespoon of Old Bay, and reserved pasta water.
- Add pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss until coated and warmed through.
- Top with parsley, Parmesan, and extra lemon if desired. Serve hot.

For best results, serve immediately and pair with a simple salad or garlic bread.
