Description

A flavorful and easy-to-prepare pasta dish featuring shrimp seasoned with Old Bay, garlic, and lemon, perfect for weeknight meals or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant (1–2 minutes).
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, remaining ½ tablespoon of Old Bay, and reserved pasta water.
  6. Add pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss until coated and warmed through.
  7. Top with parsley, Parmesan, and extra lemon if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, serve immediately and pair with a simple salad or garlic bread.
