Description

A savory tart combining tuna, fresh tomatoes, and mustard in a flaky crust, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 60 g olive oil
  • 65 g water
  • Herbs and spices of your choice
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g grated Emmental cheese
  • A drizzle of olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, olive oil, water, and spices until you create a smooth ball of dough.
  2. Roll out the dough, line your tart pan, and prick the base with a fork.
  3. Precook the tart base for 15 minutes at 180°C.
  4. Cut the tomatoes into wedges and slice the onion. Sauté the onion until soft.
  5. Spread mustard over the precooked crust. Layer with the tomatoes and onion, then crumble tuna on top.
  6. Cover with crème fraîche and sprinkle grated Emmental cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 180°C.

Notes

Opt for fresh, ripe tomatoes for vibrant color and flavor. Experiment with herbs to enhance the final flavor profile.
