A savory tart combining tuna, fresh tomatoes, and mustard in a flaky crust, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 60 g olive oil
- 65 g water
- Herbs and spices of your choice
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 can tuna
- 1 onion
- 3 tablespoons mustard
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 g grated Emmental cheese
- A drizzle of olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Mix the flour, olive oil, water, and spices until you create a smooth ball of dough.
- Roll out the dough, line your tart pan, and prick the base with a fork.
- Precook the tart base for 15 minutes at 180°C.
- Cut the tomatoes into wedges and slice the onion. Sauté the onion until soft.
- Spread mustard over the precooked crust. Layer with the tomatoes and onion, then crumble tuna on top.
- Cover with crème fraîche and sprinkle grated Emmental cheese on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes at 180°C.
Notes
Opt for fresh, ripe tomatoes for vibrant color and flavor. Experiment with herbs to enhance the final flavor profile.
